Shooter’s Eye is a local-first video analysis application. This policy describes what information the app processes, where it is stored, and how it is used.
What The App Processes
- Videos and media files that you choose to import.
- Project data you create, such as annotations, split markers, trim settings, and clip ordering.
- Exported videos that you choose to create.
- Legacy session recording clips from earlier builds, if present in existing projects.
How Data Is Used
- Data is used only to provide app features such as analysis, comparison, and export.
- Shooter’s Eye does not use your media to build advertising profiles.
Where Data Is Stored
- Project and working data are stored locally on your device.
- Temporary files may be created during recording, waveform processing, or export, and may be cleaned up automatically.
- Exported files are written only to locations you select.
Network And Data Transfer
- Shooter’s Eye core features do not require a cloud account.
- Shooter’s Eye does not upload project media to a Shooter’s Eye-operated backend service by default.
Microphone And Audio Capture
- Microphone input is temporarily disabled in the current build.
- Shooter’s Eye does not require microphone permission while this temporary restriction is in place.
- App audio capture may require local device configuration on supported platforms.
Sharing And Sale Of Data
- Shooter’s Eye does not sell personal data.
- Shooter’s Eye does not share project media with third parties for marketing.
- Local processing may involve platform and runtime components on your device (for example, operating system media APIs and FFmpeg).
Third-Party Components
- Shooter’s Eye includes FFmpeg runtime components. See FFMPEG-GPL-NOTICE.md.
Retention And Deletion
- Saved projects remain on your device until you delete them.
- Exported videos remain where you save them until you delete them.
- Uninstalling the app may not automatically remove all user-created files in locations outside the app’s managed storage.
Security
- Shooter’s Eye relies on your operating system and local file permissions for data protection.
- You are responsible for securing your device and any exported files.
Children’s Privacy
- Shooter’s Eye is not directed to children under 13 and does not intentionally collect personal information from children.
Changes To This Policy
- This policy may be updated for product, legal, or store compliance reasons.
- The “Effective date” above reflects the latest revision.
